Politics 50 is a political forum that encourages honest debate and the exchange of ideas. Most of us have at one time or the other held pointed, partisan views. The fact of the matter is that often the issues that we debate have two sides and that gray exists where we sometimes think of only black and white. The forum encourages a practical debate, without the sound bites all to often heard.
The forum owners and moderators do not strictly enforce constraints on expressing views, or moderating the language used in such discussions. We do ask that anyone accepting a membership to the forum act in a reasonable manner, and refrain from personal attacks. Such conduct will be subject to moderation. Likewise, it is unacceptable to engage in racial or biased attacks.
The forum design and look is optimized with the two aspects in mind. First is a design that is easy to look at for reading and posting. No bright colors or fancy forum skins needed or wanted. The second criteria, is that the site perform well. No one wants to visit and return to a slow performing site. In order to achieve good performance, Politics 50 is designed with efficiency in mind. The server hardware that Politics 50 runs on was chosen with performance in mind as well.
